We have always loved Libby's vegetables so I was excited to find this case of 12 15-ounce cans at such a good price. I saved another 15% by signing up for Subscribe and Save. Even store brand peas are about a dollar a can, recently.

We eat a lot of peas at our house - as a side dish, and in various casserole type dishes. I prefer fresh peas from our garden, or frozen peas, but you can't beat the convenience of having a case of canned peas in the pantry! These peas have great flavor, and they aren't too mushy. They're not like fresh peas, of course, but they are the best canned peas I've found.

What I like most about these peas is that they are grown and packed in the USA and the contents say "peas, water, salt". No preservatives or other unnecessary ingredients, which is important to me when I pick food for our family.

Makes a great instant pea soup in a pinch. Process in small food chopper or blender - one can add powdered creamer dissolved in hot water to desired thickness. Grinder or cracked black pepper [optional] and serve over buttered toast sprinkled with onion POWDER / not salt.

In stews and salads a very tasty and colorful addition.
