Pretty good corn..., By Auntine Huntley "Sandy" (North Idaho, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Libby's Whole Kernel Sweet Corn, 15-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) (Grocery) Libby's Whole Kernel Sweet Corn, 15-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)Not a lot to say about an already proven quality product except that it remains the same flavorful corn that is comparable to more expensive brands...As a kid I was fond of corn on the cob but didn't care much for canned corn on my plate which I was to eat because a "no eat vegetables no get dessert" philosophy reigned at the dinner table and I was expected to clean my plate...I still don't care for corn chips or corn tortillas but have learned over the years that whole kernal canned corn has a pretty good place in many recipes and I also have come to like it plain on the plate...I add it to soups for more body and flavor and also to salads and other dishes with vegetables and spices...I do some baking with it...All in all, it's darn good corn... 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful Consistantly Good., By GringoViejo49 "GringoViejo49" (South Florida) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Libby's Whole Kernel Sweet Corn, 15-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) (Grocery) Always consistent, as close to fresh corn as you can get from a canned product. Good Value. I will be buying again. |
When you serve Chef Boyardee to your family, you give them a wholesome, nutritious meal as well. The good, hot and hearty meal that your entire family loves.
7 of 7 people found the following review helpful It's all about convenience--Sometimes that's important!, By This review is from: Chef Boyardee Rice with Chicken & Vegetables, 7.25-Ounce Microwavable Bowls (Pack of 12) (Grocery) The whole range of Chef Boyardee/ConAgra microwavable bowls are like a civilian version of the military's MRE's-- Portable, shelf stable, and ready to heat and eat at any time. They taste decent, and will hold you for several hours if you can't get away from the office for lunch, or are stuck at work late at night. Far cheaper than ordering out! This variety is a departure from the usual pasta/tomato sauce types on their menu, and it's quite good. More rice than chicken and veggies, but hey, it's a microwave emergency ration. Very good for what it is, and almost no extra liquid. I keep at least one in my desk for emergencies. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful A great Gluten-Free product!, By sandjoy (Virginia USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Chef Boyardee Rice with Chicken & Vegetables, 7.25-Ounce Microwavable Bowls (Pack of 12) (Grocery) It's very difficult to find gluten free products that are convenient for travel, cost effective and taste good. This one fits all those criteria. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Convenient, but not a complete success, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Chef Boyardee Rice with Chicken & Vegetables, 7.25-Ounce Microwavable Bowls (Pack of 12) (Grocery) This range of microwavable meals is extremely convenient. They don't require refrigeration and can be heated up quickly and eaten straight from the bowl. The 7.25 ounce size is not an adult meal, just a light snack. The pasta and chilli valieties are very good, this rice variety fares less well. Rice is not as amenable as pasta to this type of processing. It was too soggy for my taste. It is solidly packed - not watery - which is good. The taste was fine, if bland. There was very little chicken. I think I'll have one occasionally (the 12-pack on Amazon is very competitively priced) as a change from pasta. The instructions say microwave for 45 seconds, but I found it needed a full minute. |
